Karolinska Students in Tokyo Metropolitan University

Valkommen till Tokyo! I am so thankful for this opportunity to teach the basic principles and competencies in interprofessional education and collaborative practice to these Nursing, OT, and PT students from Karolinska Institutet (Sweden)! At the end of this learning session, we also had a case study using KJ Method on drug addiction and rehabilitation. The discussion and exchanges were interactive enough for us to find out how we could learn new things despite being from different countries. P. S. Thank you also for teaching me how to say occupational therapy in Swedish: arbetsterapeut (ar-bets-te-ra-peft).

OTSA 2017: maOTSAyang Summer

It was very nostalgic to be part of the 9th Occupational Therapy Students Assembly main event entitled "MaOTSAyang Summer". Thank you OTSA, Ms. Arden Panotes and Charles Francisco, for inviting me and allowing me to share and impart my passion for the OT profession. It is so great to see how this student organization has flourished for the past 9 years. To the next generation of OTs, please enjoy and be inspired from the activities and words from our OTSA alumni. :)

Family 101: Ilocos Sur

The Family 101 Program was also conducted for the third time in Candon, Ilocos Sur. This project has been made possible by the City Government of Candon, the Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society (SISMS), and local pediatrician Dr. Glenda C. Bello of Healthpro Holistic Therapy Center (Candon).

To all the teachers, physicians, community workers, guidance counselors, social workers, and parents/guardians who actively participated in our seminar-workshop today, thank you so much for sharing your time and voice with us. We are hoping that the Family 101 Program empowered you to collaborate as a family and with health/social care professionals for the optimal success of your child/student. Agyamanak!
